Description
Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon is a high-adsorption porous carbon media used in water and wastewater treatment. Its developed pore structure provides a large internal surface area for adsorption of dissolved organic compounds and other adsorbable contaminants.
It is commonly used in activated-carbon filters for dechlorination, taste and odour reduction, organic contaminant adsorption and water polishing. The appropriate mesh size and carbon specification should be selected according to the application, required contact time, pressure drop and filter design.
Key Benefits
- High adsorption capacity
- Hard granular structure suitable for fixed-bed filtration
- Helps reduce residual chlorine, taste and odour
- Suitable for adsorption of a range of organic contaminants
- Available in multiple mesh sizes
- Suitable for new activated-carbon filters and media replacement
- Applicable to drinking, industrial and process-water treatment
- Available for project quantities and vessel-loading requirements
