Description

Support Gravel, also referred to as filter pebbles or underbed gravel, is a hard and durable graded mineral media used beneath filtration media in water-treatment filters. It forms a stable support bed, helps retain the upper filtration media and assists in distributing water through the filter underdrain system.

Different gravel sizes are commonly arranged in graded layers according to the filter design. The correct size sequence and bed depth depend on the underdrain arrangement, vessel configuration and the filtration media being supported.
