Description
Garnet Filter Media is a dense, hard granular mineral media used in water-treatment filtration systems. Its relatively high density makes it particularly suitable as a lower filtration layer in multimedia filters, where different media densities and particle sizes are used to create an effective graded filter bed.
Garnet can provide fine filtration support beneath silica sand and anthracite layers and is also used in specialized filtration arrangements requiring a dense, durable granular medium. The appropriate grade should be selected according to the filter design and required media layering.
Key Benefits
- High-density mineral filtration media
- Suitable for use as a lower layer in multimedia filtration systems
- Supports graded bed configuration with sand and anthracite
- Hard and durable granular structure
- Available in fine and coarse grades
- Suitable for new filter installations and media replacement
- Useful where high-density support / filtration layers are required
- Available for project quantities and vessel-loading requirements
Grade Selection
| Grade | Typical Role | Online Selection |
| 0.15–0.35 mm | Fine filtration / fine garnet layer | Selectable variant |
| 20–50 Mesh | Fine / intermediate filtration applications | Selectable variant if stocked |
| 4–8 Mesh | Coarser garnet / support applications | Selectable variant if stocked |
